Fuel pump relay burnt out and I put a new one but it has no power so car won't start but if I run a hot wire over to the relay it works. What could the problem be or where should I start looking?

Start looking at fuses. If you find a blown fuse, you replace it and it blows again you will need to perform some electrical testing to figure out why it's failing. This could also be a bad fuel pump situation as well. Alex
Turn key on - using a test light - *TEST* for battery voltage at the fuel pump fuse - IF no power at fuse > replace ignition switch.
Not the ignition lock cylinder where the key goes in to > The ignition SWITCH. To confirm - jumper battery power to one side of fuel pump *fuse* - start engine. If unfamiliar with these test - seek *hands-on* help from qualified personnel.
â–ªï¸ ASSUMING *ALL* FUSES HAVE BEEN *TESTED* â–ªï¸ Good luck!
I jumped the power over and the car started so I’ll look into the ignition switch thank you
Do you mean - jumped battery power to the *fuel pump fuse* and engine started ? IF so then YES > replace the ignition SWITCH.
I checked the fuses they were all good still
