Having a problem with the starter motor.

What is your question?

Once the car starts it sound like the starter gear is getting stuck in the ring gear making a noise and then retracting. Is there an adjustment or does the starter need to be replaced. Does not happen all the time. Thank You in advance, Mark2line

Either you have low voltage to the starter, bad connection, or the starter is bad.

U don't say how many miles r on it. by your description it sounds like a starter motor.
