No power to the starter

Truck was running n turned it off to add fuel. When I went to go restart upon turning the ignition I had nothing. The dash lights and bells work n battery is charged. Under the hood you can hear the ignition click when you are turning the key

Failed starter motor is suspect - taping on starter motor housing with small hammer while a helper holds key to start position is viable test - - IF starter responds - replace the starter!! [ This is assuming the battery has been proven to be in good condition ]
