Heater a/c fan runs but not every time turned on , why?

this happens only some time but more frequently lately,seems to be in the control circuitry, could be a relay or resistor failing .

Most likely a bad relay would cause the fan not to work at all, not just sometimes. Sounds like it could be a wiring problem or a problem in the HVAC control unit.

Another suspect: Blower Motor Resistor $ 32.85 /ea Part Number: BR630 Product Line: NAPA Echlin Ignition Parts *Repair kit may be available @ GM dealer.*

CK WIRING PIGTAIL AT BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR,THEY BURN AT PLUG

I ran into that twice.....pigtail melts on the end....wonder why??

High resistance caused by poor connection creates heat... NAPA..... GM offers a repair kit with resistor and wire/connector.

Most likely a bad relay would cause the fan not to work at all, not just sometimes. Sounds like it could be a wiring problem or a problem in the HVAC control unit.
