Had an alignment after the work... Did you get the gear box TOO tight?? Mighty easy to do that if not very careful.!... As stated, how does it drive...wandering, stiff steering, front wheels shaking etc...???
Yes had a alignment it still has the same issues loose steering.some shaking bought new front tires still same problem.
Suspect gear box....possible steering shaft coupler!... How much steering wheel lash (free play - left & right) with key on engine off? ... Got to be able to find the steering problem on this vehicle!!!!!! .. You're/Y'all are missing it somehow!
Plenty you can steer left and right with it jacked up and wheels dont move about half turn of steering wheel b4 wheels even turn .
Yep, that's a bit to much
Gear box or steering coupler... youve replaced everything else. so long as you steering linkage isnt bent/loose, or loose tie rods. pull on the steering shaft withing the engine compartment. if it wiggles replace. if tight check the linkage being bent or loose. there is linkage joint(s) that are similar to tie rods if i remember correctly. raise vehicle wheel to ensure tie rods have no play. if all checks good you can ensure its the gearbox (so long as the steering wheel nut isnt loose...lol). keep us posted
Steering is very loose it does not drift but constantly have to counter steer 2000 gmc jimmy .
