What is your question?
I was driving home and my 1992 GMC Jimmy died on me. I tried to crank the engine, but it didn't turn over, I figured fuel pump, I replaced fuel pump, rotor and distributer cap. But for some reason it still will not start. I'm an electrician by trade, so I'm not very car savvy!

for starters,if the engine will not turn over,it's got nothing to do with the fuel pump?so,did the alternator go out and drain the battery down to nothing and then cut off?not cranking means the engine is not turning over.
If your 'car turns over' ... It's a bad thing!! .. You can *crank* the engine without starting the engine but you cannot *start* the engine without cranking the engine.. In the days befor the electric starter, they had a HAND CRANK you had to use to START the engine... Fuel pressure test and ignition fire (spark) test required cause it ain't got the correct amount of one OR the other!!
I had just put gas in the car, drive about 5 miles, then it stalled on me. It will not start now.
