What is your question?
The radiator is boiling. I see no leaks. But my coolant is being used up fast. Just changed oil & no milky look just black like used oil should look.
What makes this problem better or worse?
We only make short trips less than 30 miles to & from
How long has your 2008 GMC Envoy had this problem?
Added dexcool 2 weeks ago again 3days ago & about to again today

Hello, a thermostat concern will not cause coolant to get "used up". Coolant is not a consumable item; the only way you lose it is through leakage into the engine or externally. I would start by performing a pressure test of the cooling system to expose any external coolant leaks. If there are none found, and there are no air pockets in your cooling system and your level goes down, you have to consider inside the engine for where the coolant could be leaking. It would be quite unusual but possible. Hands on testing is needed.
Coolant is leaking out OR the engine is consuming it - period! IF coolant is burning through the combustion chamber should see steam from exhaust and experience occasional misfire upon start up after being parked + no coolant present in engine oil.
