What is your question?
I replaced gas cap wit a new one. Also, the gas cap indicator will go off and the check engine light comes on. Eventually, one or the other indicator lights will come back on. Sometimes, I go days without any indicator lights on. Any help?

It sounds like you may have a leak in the fuel fill tube, from the cap to the fuel tank. This is usually a hose made of rubber, and it could have a small crack. Since it's rubber, it will flex a little as the vehicle goes down the road, and sometimes the crack will open up, other times not. When the crack opens, the system senses that the cap is off, leaking, or not properly tightened. I had this problem with a Mazda. Replacing the filler tube was a fairly easy and inexpensive fix.
In addition.. Suggest 'smoke test' to locate leak in system .. Scan test will be helpful.
