Sure...if needed you may be able to open the door from inside by tripping the release manually, move what you need to today and fix it later...

How do I trip it manually?

From the INSIDE of the door afrer panel is removed.....

That's next on the list. Thankfully, my husband got home from his trip last night and I can leave the ultimate fix up to him! I wasn't able to reach him while he was away on a soccer tournament weekend, so you people saved the day, for sure! I'm lucky to be married to a super handy guy!!
