Throttle Foot pedal goes to the floor and springs back with no problem. Removed the air cleaner and throttle works like it should.

i doubt that the engine is a 2.8L? post correct engine size.so it goes to full throttle when you start it?check behind your work, everything plugged back up?
The idle air control is not working! ... BUT ... There ain't no way in hell you can mess this up that bad by just replacing a power steering hose! .. None of the power steering components are even close to the throttle body!.. What else was done to the truck? .. Did you disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable or BOTH battery cables .. after the 'metal part' of that hose assembly shorted out on the alternator hot wire? .. See any electrical sparks at any time while doing this work? .. What?
buddy them sparks cause BAD GREMLINS! unhooking battery cables before work is done kinda prevents all that from happening!i guess that's why instructions always say "disconnect NEG battery cable FIRST"
The first thing I did was to remove the negative terminal end from the battery and let it fall to the lower aft side of the battery. I had the front end of the truck jacked up replacing the power steering pressure hose and when I started the truck to bleed air from the line I replaced the throttle went to full speed. I removed the air cleaner and found nothing out of place, checked the upper engine area and also found nothing. I lowered the truck to the ground and started it up the engine purred like a kitten. ???????????????????? Thanks for your help
truck must not like being high in front?
Can't even make em mad enough to reply!
