My gears shift but the vehicle won't move at all why is that??

Yes I did that because kinda thought that was the problem also

Will the engine rev up with shifter in park?

Yes it does...changed gears but doesn't move...it feels a lot easier to shift also

I can not figure out how OR why but the shifter cable must be dislodged for whatever reason!.. Call friend back to check his work!!

He's saying he can't figure it out...I think it's somethin he did because it makes no sense

The engine light was on but I just went outside to start it up any yet and move it n of course it didn't move and the light wasn't on anymore
