Shifter wont release and brake light function is being affected. So i have to manually release at plastic mechinism at base of shifter. So i can put car in gears and drive it. But it cancels my brake lights and all fuses, brake switch and wiring is functional. Im thinkin its the shift lock sensor. Is it??

You state "it cancels the brake lights" > NO - it's the inoperative brake light problem that is not allowing the shifter to function! *TEST* 'all' fuses using a 12 volt test light .... *TEST* brake light switch operation with same test light.
When the inop brake lights are fixed .. The shifter problem will be fixed as well...!
I checked fuses all are good and i replaced brake light switch. Still wont release. now i did find an article thru geo forum that if i can manually get the shifter to shift it stated that if i can manually release shifter that switch is bad. It said that if it was workin correctly i shouldnt be able to move it out if park.
1 question - Do the brake lights come on when a helper pushes the brake pedal down?
