Will a motor from a 92 geo metro work in a 07 metro?

My 97 3 cylinder gep has a bad motor and i got given a running motor from a 92 geo will it in my car? I know the crank senser is different can i use old distributor from 92 and to replace the crank sencer beimg 92 did not have crank sencer thanks

Unfortunately the engines are not interchangeable..

All sensors related to engine operations must be in place.. The earlier year model just can’t be configured to be compatible..
