Will a motor from a 92 geo metro work in a 07 metro?

My 97 3 cylinder gep has a bad motor and i got given a running motor from a 92 geo will it in my car? I know the crank senser is different can i use old distributor from 92 and to replace the crank sencer beimg 92 did not have crank sencer thanks
