don't know how long you have had the vehicle, but when buying a vehicle, always take it and get it checked out by a good mechanic, research it to see if any recalls or problems for that vehicle,BEFORE you buy it.you can do that online,it's free to research, and yes,the problem you are having is a very common problem for your vehicle! you could have found that reported intake manifold problem here, but most people don't come to this site until they have a problem, instead of coming here first to research problems and recalls before the vehicle is bought.1998-2003,same problem.you need to buy the new updated kit to fix this problem, and also the new updated isolator bolts or you will have the same problem come back.if you have been driving it with the CEL blinking/flashing,then you have probably destroyed the catalytic converters from dumping raw fuel into the exhaust manifold(never drive a vehicle with the engine light flashing, must be towed) so you can probably add around $1000.00 for new converters that are destroyed now.111 people reported the problem you are having, and that's just on this site..look to the right of this page, click on Problems, then click on this>"The Check Engine Light May Illuminate Due to an Intake Manifold Vacuum Leak" 2 pages to read, same problem!
