New door pins internal lights turn off when pins are manually pressed
If you mean you can trip the door latch levers closed manually and the light goes out... Switch is inside door latch, try spraying latch liberally with WD-40... Switch may need to be replaced.
Strikers replaced no change light is still on. But door closes better
