Unusual vehicle noises can only be diagnosed *hands-on* - too many possibilities.
What gives you the impression it "almost doesn't want to shift"? Noises, as Pushrod said, need hands on inspection and diagnostic testing; these transmissions are not prone to concern, but many different inputs go into determining when shifting should occur. So, along with hands on testing for the noise; diagnostic testing using a diagnostic tool that can interface with the various control modules would be quite helpful for the shift concern.
Trained ‘ear‘ of experienced mechanic is invaluable.. (Not beneficial for us to post a list of possibilities - *hands-on* evaluation is still required.) Good luck!
