My battery light is on the right side of the dash and the motor light is on the that mean

battery light indicates the alternator is not charging most of the time.have the charging system tested..also make sure ALL connections are clean,free of corrosion and TIGHT..the motor light is the check engine light or service engine soon light..take it to Autozone,they will read the CEL code and test your charging system for FREE! ask them to print the code(s) out for you,that's free too...just don't let them sell you any parts just yet!
