Single click will not start have oil pressure light on why????

What is your question?

My oil presure light is on in my dash and when u try to start the car it makes a single click why wont my car start changer alt. Batt. And checked fuses and fuse relays what could it be????

that oil light comes on every time you turn the key on,and probably wont go off until the engine is running.have you checked the oil level? where is it clicking at? why change the battery and the alternator? were they bad? car doing the same thing it was doing before changing both of them?

I changed the alt and batt because the dash wash flashing charging system changed batt and alt plus cars headlights were diming and brighting at every stop light I had the oil changed and new tires put on at walmart so my daughter could take it to california we live in oregon on the way back she said the oil presure light started flashing it made a noise like a house fan would and died she had it towed home and now when u try to start it u hear one single click it does not crank or tu

if you put a socket/ratchet on the crank bolt and use a long breaker bar,will the engine turn any?

Yes engine turns over we did the test on the pully would the oil presure light make the car not start is there some kind of safty shut off???

it might make it not start,BUT it ain't gonna make it not crank the engine over.is the starter cranking the engine over now?

Did you ever figure out what the was the root cause of the car trouble? My mom has a 2007 ford taurus. Everything was going fine and running as it should and the other day she started the car and began to drive it away from the house and only made it about a block before it died. The oil light came on but no check engine light. Since then, the car will not turn over when you turn the key forward like it should but when I arc the starter & solenoid it'll turn over but never actually run let alone stay running. I've went through some fuses & relays but I'm not seeing the problem. Everything has power and appears to be on normal working order.

The oil pressure light coming on with the engine running is an indication that the oil pressure is too low, driving with the oil light on can cause internal damage to the engine. The lack of lubrication from oil pressure can cause the engine to stop rotating and the engine dies. When trying to start the engine, the starter can not rotate the engine and will only make a lick sound.
