This is usually a bad light bulb, however Greg is correct, this problem not only disables your entire restraint system, but attempted repairs can cause deployment of the air bag. I would recommend having a shop attempt repairs or thoroughly research before fixing. Disconnect the battery during any repair and allow 5 minutes for complete discharge.
