I replaced the power steering pump on a ford taurus and now the new one whines all the time, I flushed the system somwhat but didn't turn the wheels. Do I need to replace the pump again? And I can't find a filter does it have one? thanks

Make sure you give it ample time to purge the air out of the pump and lines. This will cause a groan or whine for a little while. Rebuilt pumps can still be noisy, but most clear up after some usage.
Remove the pump, immediately junk the car, and place the steering pump on your fireplace mantel as a trophy/reminder of what car to never buy again! don't forget a rag or pan under the pump so you don't drip any fluid on your mantel.
