2002 Ford Taurus won’t start after warming up

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus that has had problems for a long time. It never has issues starting up for the first time every day but after I go into the store, or to work, etc it often hated starting up whether I stopped for 10 minutes-3 hours. It will crank but not turn over. No clicking, no grinding, sounds normal but won’t start. After I try starting it, it will normally start up after waiting for anywhere from 5-30 minutes, usually around 15. It has also died recently on the way home from work and has done so in the past on my old half an hour drive. Please help me finally find out the problem. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It seems to help at least when it’s really close to wanting to turn over, otherwise it always seems the same. I did start pressing it down most of the time though, just in case it helps at all.
Recommend full scan test with *coolant temperature sensor protocol* .. This test needs to be performed while engine is COLD then subsequent testing during and after engine warms up to normal operating temperature..
Scanner live data is invaluable for this type of concern .. During this test coolant temperature sensor readings can be monitored for possible askew signal as temperatures change - - as well as other various important data .. This will involve leaving vehicle at repair facility overnight so accurate testing can be completed.
There’s really nothing here for the DIYer to attempt as a repair.
