The car shutters and then idles shutters idle at stop lights

Strongly suspect vacuum leak(s) from deteriorated hoses... Usually the PCV system hoses turn to 'mush' over time and leak vacuum.. Check engine light should be on with PO171 // PO174 codes stored in ECM memory and is slow or fails to go into open loop operation when tested with scan tool, viewing live data.
