pushrod gave a great answer. Its definitely a transmission problem. Hopefully, maybe you just broke the hose and lost all your transmission fluid and that's it. You're faced with towing the car to your mechanic to see exactly what damage there is. Don't feel bad, this happened to my wife. You're not alone. I hope this helps, good luck.
