Why do my headlights stay on with car off and switch off

MY name is Jessie I have been trying to figured out why my lights stay on with car off and switch off. I have put another power steering pump in and now have this light problem..I have got to disconnect the battery so they will go off,checked the fuses and replaced the switch inside. I am at a lost
