What is your question?
When I'm driving my car and I come to a stop, my transmission seems to go into neutral. When I'm ready to go, I hit the gas and the engine just revs even though the car is in drive. I have to put the car in park for a quick second and then put it back in drive before it will move. It seems that when I ease into a stop slowly, it wont do it as often. The fluid level is full, it doesn't leak, and there are no lights on the dash to indicate any sort of problem. When I'm driving, I don't notice any problems with the transmission. It shifts fine and never slips. If anyone out there has any idea as to what the problem might be, please help me out. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This sounds like a transmission issue, and it can occur for several reasons. I suggest you take this to a good transmission shop and have them look into this. Try an ATRA shop if there is one in your area: http://bit.ly/ATRA_Info Otherwise look for a shop here: http://repairpal.com/lafayette-in-auto-repair
Mine does the same. Once mine warms up it is a little better. If I shift back down to first it will pick up and once it goes to second I keep it from going loose and wild into third with no drive connection by down shifting back down to first. This allows me to go up to 35 or 40 in the second gear without it sliping into the NG 3rd gear. When it warms up in 3 or 4 miles it is pretty good and probably why I live with it but it has been so long I worry about the CV joints when the thing accationally catchs when the rpms are high especially on a corner! drive it like a baby carrage. I think it has the wrong vicosity tran. oil and reomend you drain at a transmission shop and ad a little Lucus oil at that time. Bring the Lucas oil with you the guys at the auto supply house will know what it is. Let me know if it works I put it off for cost reasons as much as anything else. Good Luck T eirewind@comcast.net
I have been looking into this issue as my Taurus is starting with jerking from 1-2 gear everything I pull up is the torque converter needs to be replaced not the whole transmission its a known problem and Ford refused to admit it and recall the part .
