Engine doesn’t know or care anything about the starter / circuits - - concentrate on wiring and related components just like you would if it still had original the engine in vehicle. Battery - Battery cabling and connections - Wiring to starter motor - Starter solenoid(s) ..

All of the actual starter circuits and components should have remained the same.. The engine itself is irrelevant.
