Is there any additives I can add to my power steering pump to quieten it. I heard lubegard might help. Any expert opinions?

First, I agree 100% with csubak30. Next the Lubegard is the ONLY Additive that i have seen work for lots of folks.i would say that around 90% of all additives are just a gimmick, and don't work, they sell, but most don't work.there is a local, family owned transmission shop a couple of miles from me.they will NOT rebuild ANY transmission for any year, make, model without adding one bottle of the Lubegard Red part #60902 to the fluid, and they do a lot of rebuilds, including mine 4R70W Ford tranny over 5 years ago.another shop, about 10 miles from me,also family owned will not change the tranny fluid unless he uses the same bottle of lubegard when refilling the fluid!it won't hurt it to try it,and has very good reviews.the only place i know of that sells it local is NAPA.good luck with it. Lubegard Power Steering Fluid Protectant, Plastic Bottle; Lubegard..Part Number: BK 7652618...Product Line: Balkamp...$6.75 /ea..In Stock...NAPA AUTO PARTS...
Of course you can try an additive but, to fix the issue permanently you may have to replace the pump. Two things make them loud : wearing out or low fluid level. Determine which it is and decide for yourself whether you want to quiet it or replace it. It may have a small leak somewhere.....
