What is your question?
I have had some rather scary high estimates to even evaluate my A/C issues. It is currently not blowing cold air on the coldest setting. I have read that these leaks are difficult to find, even with dye. And I have also read that the stop leak products will seal up rubber as well as metal leaks. There appears to be good sound chemical engineering taking place to help a person like me (low income) to fix a problem that could cost more than the vehicle is actually worth. I was wondering if someone has some insight on this subject (other than Amazon reviews). I do not want to become a crispy critter this summer!!

Personally speaking - I have never gotten a reliable repair using any quick fix stop leak products of any kind! ... Been in the business for 43 years so I've tried quite a few... Good luck with it in any case!
Hello, agreed with Pushrod. There is no "silver bullet" for cheap. Anything that "stops leaks" also often stops operation of parts that are functioning perfectly fine. It would really be a good idea to consult a local tech experienced in handling refrigerants who may have a decent solution for you. Here is a link to some shops near you; calling doesn't cost a thing! Good luck: http://repairpal.com/ford-within-10-miles-of-little-rock-arkansas-72223
As already stated - been there - got estimates for more than my vehicle is worth. Thanks again for your "expertise".
I was really hoping for some actual detailed information and not just a BLANKET REJECTION! But thanks for your effort. I will say that I have experienced an EXCELLENT outcome using Lucas Oil Power Steering Stop Leak. I was adding power steering fluid every week. It's been 2 months since using this product and not only is there no leak but the whole power steering system is working much better - smoother steering, etc.
I can only state the facts as I have found them to be .. Yes, Lucas Oil indeed has some very good products, as far as a stop leak, still had no luck! ... Good luck with 'your' endeavor!
