After I had my timing chain gasket replaced, it seems to have started doing this. My mechanic is stumped, says he has done tests, and checked vacuum lines. Thought it was the distributor but after replacing that it still does it. Any suggestions? It only happens when I accelerate then it smooths out.

Did the repairman set the timing correctly according to the decal under the hood? Have it scanned for stored codes and KOER test. A mechanic that can do this will know what that means. If no luck there, have the mechanic sweep test the TPS for a glitch.
