What is your question?
I have a 1990 Ford ranger 4.0 with an A4 LD transmission I just replaced the modulator valve because it was sucking trans fluid to the intake after I put it on and went to test drive it wasn't shifting right it revs up shifting from second to third gear and I don't know how to adjust the modular valve and now I noticed that it feels like I'm pulling a big heavy trailer please help me thank you and have a merry Christmas
How long has your 1990 Ford Ranger had this problem?
A few days

Hello, I don't know of any "adjustment" to be done with this; it's a bolt on situation; the new vacuum modulator should pull 18 inches of pressure on a vacuum gauge with vacuum hose blocked off. How was it driving when you had transmission fluid going into the intake manifold? Check all hoses to ensure they are free of any restrictions.
Modulator valves identified by colored stripe(s) on rear - the one you installed have same color stripe ? I’d see if dealer can still get the part.
Different colors = different vacuum diaphragm inside = different functionally.
