Can I put a 4.6L 2 vavle engine in a base mustang

Yes BUT - the PCM wiring harnesses and an abundance of other components would have to be switched as well .. It can be done, however it's probably beyond reasonable expenditures to do so. IF you have the capability and the complete donor vehicle - that would save some money .. Frankly, I wouldn't attempt it.
