Car hesitated to start.. then after driving it a few miles to got to the gym and needed a jumpstart 2 hrs later. Figured it was the battery so i replaced it. It still hesitates to start and the guages go up and down. After driving a mile or so after it started, the battery guage went for low to normal to low again

Just to be clear, did you you recently replace the alternator as well? Its not clear in the title. Either way the easiest way to get started on a diagnosis would be a simple volt meter on the battery while the car is running. It should be charging around 13-14 volts. If not, your alternator or voltage regulator could be faulty. Alex
Many times these parts are trash right out of the box! Highly recommend > NAPA > Power Supreme.
Are remanufactures ok?
