I can't figure out what a part is called that mounts both to the transmission

What is your question?

I can't figure out what a part is called that mounts both to the transmission on my 01 mustang GT. It broke while putting the transmission back in during another repair. It's located by the starter (passenger side) and attaches to the outside of Bell housing

What does it look like? Looking at the OEM starter removal instructions for your vehicle, I see there's an O2 sensor connector and bracket in that area. However, I need more information to be able to help you properly.
