What is your question?
I have a 96 Ford mustang gt with a 4.6 liter engine and i have a problem with it overheating. It is 85 degrees outside,I start my car,let it run for about 5 minutes and drive it for 10 minutes and the temp gauge gets up to the beginning of a and steadys around middle of a in the word normal, (supposed to be beginning of m in the word normal. I changed my water pump and put in a 180 degree thermostat and did a full coolant flush and a new radiator coolingg fan. Also, does not have any check engine light on. Any answer or solution would be very appreciated
What makes this problem better or worse?
When I turn the heat on it cools the engine a small amount but still the temp gauge is not where it should be
How long has your 1996 Ford Mustang had this problem?
Since I bought the vehicle

NEED *ACTUAL ENGINE TEMPERATURE* READINGS - degrees Fahrenheit. Scan tool can be used - - OR - an infrared thermometer aimed at thermostat housing after engine is at operating temperatures.
The temperature ‘gauge’ is nothing more than a generalization. How HOT is the engine? Engine temperature gauge staying at the 12 o’clock position while driving is perfectly normal ! Good luck!
