Wrench symbol shows up but no code can be found what should we do?

The computer turns this light on when there is a powertrain malfunction/electronic throttle body system malfunction. It could be the throttle body, computer, wiring or a sensor into the computer used for the throttle body. You will need to scan(not a code reader) your computer when the light is illuminated on the dash. Chances are you will pick up a code when this is done in the computer....The wrench symbol stands for a problem in the throttle system. Maybe the throttle body or the throttle positioning sensor is bad.

I also have Ford Fusion 2012 AWD 3.0 and there is Ford Customer Satisfaction Program on this model to free replacement of Throttle Body so you can take it to dealership for free replacement. I guess the Ford decided to provide free replacement for those folks who complaints to get a free replacement instead of total recall. Good luck.
