What damage could be done if your throttle body needs replaced?

Thank you for replying . The wrench light is on but there was a TSB #367571-Electrical System, 367572-Digital Instrument Panel, that mention the throttle body, and 359600 Power Train. I am experiencing intermittent loss of RPMs/lack of acceleration. I have 31,000 miles on my fusion. Warranty runs out December 12, 2014 or 36,000 miles. I ask Family Ford if they could update the software in the transmission control module and the power Truman control module.Sure, he said, For $81 + tax. Please advise

IF the software update is related to the throttle body problem(TSB-NOT warranty) , then I would do that first and see if that fixes it.Could be an input or signal misinterpretation problem , rather than a physical problem with T-body.
