P1000 will not read as a fault from the OBDll Port. The battery or PCM has been disconnected (Ford,Mazda) The diagnostic trouble codes have been cleared (Ford,Mazda) An OBD monitor concern occured before completion of the drive cycle (Ford). Although this may be considered a common Ford DTC, it's very minor. You in fact can safely" ignore" this code and it should go away as part of normal driving, you do not need to clear this code (as it may not actually turn off the MIL). If you want to the code to clear itself, faster, run through the Ford Drive Cycle. However, if you have other trouble codes, the MIL will stay on as there are other issues. The P1000 DTC code is a manufacturer specific code. In the case of Ford vehicles, it simply means that the OBD-II monitor testing is not complete.the check engine light and the battery light will not go off until the car is started/running.what is on fuse #18's circuit?
I don't know what circuit was covered by fuse 18 , I don't have the owner's manual , and was unable to find out online . I did take the battery and have it load tested , found one bad cell . Upon further reading I came across a UK Focus site that stated that P1000 would appear when there is a problem with #2 coil . I replaced the battery and coil pack and upon starting the battery light went out , the car started , and ran smooth .
no,that's not what that means!but if you fixed it by changing the coil, then good deal.P1000 FORD - On Board Diagnostic System Readiness Test Not Complete...Possible causes - The vehicle is new from the factory. - Battery or Powertrain Control Module (PCM) had recently been disconnected. - An OBD monitor failure occurred before completion of an OBD drive cycle. - PCM Detected Trouble Codes (DTC) have recently been cleared with a scan tool...This code just means that the PCM didn't complete a full diagnose cycle, and is set when the battery have been disconnected, codes have been cleared or sometimes even when the vehicle have been towed. No scanner it's necessary to clear the code, driving the vehicle for a few minutes (sometimes more) to complete the diagnose cycle will clear the code. Clearing the code will reset the light unless other codes present...If DTC P1000 is triggered after DTCs have been cleared, all engine management OBD diagnostic monitor drive cycles have not been cleared...The On Board Diagnostic (OBD) monitors are performed during the OBD Drive Cycle. P1000 is stored in continuous memory if any of the OBD monitors do not carry out their full diagnostic check.
