The car wont start ,the fuel pump doesnt come on when i turn on ignition but if i use starting fluid it will start and keep running ,could this maybe be the crank sensor?

Here is my suggestion.. Locate the inertia switch, or the fuel pump cut off switch (see owners manual) .. You'll need at least a test light.. Have a helper turn on the ignition switch while you are probing one of the two wires at the inertia switch.. Should have battery voltage for a couple seconds... Turn key off .. Now repeat the same procedure on the OTHER wire at the switch.. IF voltage is present at both wires REPLACE the fuel pump!!.. Yeah, I know it runs after starting on either but if there IS voltage on both those wires then the pump IS getting voltage but is not turning on until the alternator shoots it about 14+ volts, after initial prime and start... Now if no voltage is present at the inertia switch,, let me know for more test info. .. You dig??
