What is wrong with my car

Got a new battery for it and my car will not start want to say it's my alternator or my enigne locked up cause everything works but when I try to turn my key nothing happen no clicking or clicks

why was the new battery put in?even IF the alternator is bad,putting a new battery in should still start the car!battery is for starting it,then the alternator takes over.any sparks when new battery installed?i know you all have had it very rough with all the rain and flooding in Columbia,are you in that area?

Don't reckon it's hydro locked from water running into engine?

My old one died way before this happen an.And yes it spark,mostly downtown areas was bad n yes

Try to turn engine manually... Should at least hear a click from solenoid!

What do you mean by manually? Like turning the crankshaft pulley

Yes.. With ratchet and socket or the like... Clockwise to start with then alternately if needed to see if engine will turn.
