Can you check a tire for holes without putting it on the rim?

Hello, it's really difficult to know for sure without installing and pressurizing a tire with air. Pressurizing the tire creates the force needed to expose holes. There's really no way to check for leaks without installing the tire.

Using a good flashlight - closely inspect the inside if tire for obvious puncture damage - pushing down on tire will help.. Tiny puncture wounds will be difficult to see of course.. Also very good idea to check outside of sidewalls for any signs of dry rot!
