What is your question?
Daughter noticed AC was not working during a short hop to gas station. Then when looking for parking space that engine temp in red line and shortly enhine hot light came on. She was able to park about a minute or so later. After engine cooled check oil and water. Water level in reservoir was low with resevoir almost empty. she added water and took car to local mechanic, a mile away. Undergoing diagnosis. My main concern is - has the engine has been permently damaged? And would like to know if there are diagnostics to give it a clean bill of health - things like engine seals/cylinder pressure/gaskets warping, etc.
How long has your 2014 Ford Fiesta had this problem?

Unfortunately we can not determine nor predict damages resulting from engine overheating.. Knowledgeable mechanics *hands-on* testing and practical experience is invaluable. Good luck!
