What would cause my spark plug well fill with coolant?

I have noticed the coolant reservoir had been getting low on a fairly regular basis. Today, I went to change my spark plugs for routine maintenance, and noticed a large amount of coolant in the plug well, in all 4 plug locations. What would cause this? No noticeable overheating, and no oil contamination, either.
