Truck has a gerling brake system, and it has a thumping noise in the brake pedal and the pedal shifts back and forth a little each time you hear the noise.it only does it when the parking brake is released, the noise seems to be traveling down the pressure hose from the pump. any info on this would be helpful Thanks

You are lucky that is the only problem you have with this system! Ford only used it a few years...been a long time since i have even seen it... You need to find a mechanic that is familiar with this unique park brake system to check it out... The service brake is Hydroboost....the park brake is electric/hydraulic... As long as it releases and the brakes are ok....... drive it.....F-700 is a little H.D. for this site!
Thanks, i took it to a shop and the mechanic said he ran into this problem once 30years ago but couldnt remeber what it was, said he thought it would be ok
