What is your question?
Code: cylinder misfires at random, why? 1.) Fuel filter has been changed. 2.) New Spark Plugs (properly gaged) and new wires. 3.) New air filter, oil filter and oil change. 4.) Replaced both ignition coils. Truck turns on and stays on, yet it does not accelerate smoothly and has a strong fuel odor. Any ideas as to why?

your truck does not have spark plug wires on the 2007 year.you said you replaced both ignition coils.it has 8 of them.one for each cylinder,COP.coil over plug.check for vaccum leaks in engine area.check hose that goes to pcv valve, common problem on this for hose to collapse, pass.side mounted in rear of valve cover.check all vaccum hoses.
Thank you for your response and advise, the truck is a 1997...thank you for pointing that out. I will have my son check for vacuum leaks.
your welcome.maybe you can change the header of your question, because it says 2007.i have the same engine, but mine is a 2000 f-150 4.6L supercab,304000 miles.check that pcv valve hose, mine was mashed flat.it thru 9 codes,1 3 inch piece of hose fixed all that.
