Hello, if you cannot manually move the lock, there is a mechanical problem, not an electrical one. Check all doors - do they all have manual lock issues? If you had door locks being actuated continually, it would stop functioning before too long, as the door lock motors would fail. A good physical inspection of affected locks is necessary.
IF lock actuators were being held in the lock position 'electronically' - removing battery cable would release the lock mechanism so door could be unlocked manually. (Not to mention battery being rapidly discharged)
It’s been rather cold lately - any chance icing may be a contributing factor?
thanks for reply Pushrod battery does not go dead thats why i said like the grounds are being applied , they are locked ,i can open from in side , at the same time remain locked like the actuators are siezed up / frozen but i have had it in the garage for hours at 60 degree , if i hit the fob the lights do the dance in the dash telling me the module has out put , if i hit the door lock on the door can hear relays under dash , i looked at the wires going threw door hinge pulled cover back looks there , just strange cant manually unlock ,
Too coincidental that ALL actuators have failed simultaneously - got to be a common denominator .. Only thing I can suggest is door trim panel removal for *hands-on* inspection.. I’d disconnect the ‘actuator rod’ to see if that releases manual lock button. May require assistance from auto repair savvy personnel.. Good luck!
BTW - the ground circuit is also connected to the battery - it will also place a drain on battery - however battery positive must be present as well.. Mechanical failure is suspect - although it just doesn’t make sense that all actuators have failed.
After reviewing the fuse block diagram - it is very possible there is a failed fuse - here is a link to the diagram: https://www.autogenius.info/ford-f-150-2004-2008-fuse-box-diagram/ This is certainly worth checking out!
There is a separate fuse for the control module - so that may very well be working ok BUT actuators are not.. Sorry for all the individual post - the ‘edit function’ doesn’t work on my device.
sake of argument i agree all the actuators at once i dont think either but never rule any thing out i will remove the panel and unhook things , whats the chances of the BSM holding actuators on and timer saving battery from time out ? as far fuse 107 its new and ohmed was first thing i looked at but thank you for the link ,
Pull door panel and see what’s keeping manual lock from functioning! Good luck!
i was leaning towards mechanical but the problem happened to all doors at the same time like the actuators are applied , i will not rule mechanical out yet, but all at the same time is strange to me i am trying to get some ideas before i take the panels off , and do find a electrical BSM im not sure how its wired to the actuators , i will test things once i get in the door panels off , i understand how it works just looking for simplicity if possible
