I have a 99 f150 swb ext cab with 5.4 & 4r70w. Tranny has no fwd gears at all but reverse is all good. I figure the transmission is shot. Im REALLY strapped on $$ rt now & had a guy give me a 4r75e with low miles on it out if an 06 mustang. I was wondering if theres an easy way to make the 4r75e fit & work or would it cost too much? I know it wont be 4x4 anymore but at this point i dont care I have located a 4r70w from another 99 f150 4x4 for $350+ exch with a 90 day warranty. I have the 350 but thatll pretty much wipe me out

I know very well the woes of being low on cash - I’ve even there - however if not careful, one can cost themselves more money trying to save a dollar - especially when it comes to automobile repair. Good luck with it!
