What is your question?
you can not feel this truck idle hardly ,it idles smooth for the most part, checked a plug to get an idea of what they looked like, it looked fine. It also has a low amount of power sometimes have to push accelerator clear to the floor to get up a slight hill, it does down shift when I floor board it. Just got done dealing with a heating problem. don't know if gauge reads correctly but the temp gauge reads on the L of normal, more than what I am comfortable with. plus I smell something burning like rubber or wiring.could all this correlate with one specific thing?

the 5.0L/302 is a good engine, how many miles on it?when was last good tune up?cap, rotor, plugs, wires?thermostat changed?coolant good?fuel filter, air filter been changed?should get more than 8 mpg!i had a 94 f150 with the 5.8L in it,ran very good.but no matter what i did to it,would only get around 12 or 13 mpg around town!
the motor was rebuilt a around 80,000 and has around 80,000 on it now.. I haven't done a tune up but I did pull a plug to check the condition and it looked like it was in pretty good shape, I put a new thermostat and radiator cap on two days ago, it was boiling over even after the new thermostat, but the new radiator cap seems too have stopped the boiling over so far! It still runs hotter than I like!! it rides on the L in the word normal on the guage.Im told thats still in normal range. I just got the truck it has had extinsive maintenance done on it, and I do have all the reciepts and records. So I don't know where to begin without spending a lot of money chasing after sensors or buying parts that end up not being the problem at all.
