Hello, this is right in the ballpark of when the starter solenoid signal wire would have been suspect. Check this - there was once a service bulletin about replacing the terminal and wire. Even with a replacement starter motor, this may not have been resolved. Naturally - just a guess. Testing hands on is needed. Electrical ignition switches were also suspect. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
