What is your question?
My 2015 Ford Explorer XLT started its issue with a Low Engine Pressure light and oil can appearing, followed by the Check Engine light. The vehicle was taken for a diagnostic series immediately and then towed to a Ford dealership. It was determined that the water pump had broken from the back allowing antifreeze to mix with the oil. Additional internal damage was done to the inside of the engine, requiring a new engine. The extended warranty provider sent an inspector who confirmed the damage and recommended an engine replacement. The extended warranty provider, Secure Net Of Houston TX denied the claim because of the vehicle being used for Uber rideshare Services although the firm covers commercial use of its covered vehicles. I am curious to determine if a recall of the system may not have been revealed or any input as to how I can get this vehicle repaired and back on the road. Thank you in advance.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Need engine replacement
How long has your 2015 Ford Explorer had this problem?
One week
I will add that it seems to be a an extensive amount of failures to occur all at once. Or perhaps there were some telltale signs beforehand - maybe. Unfortunately it is likely you will be required to pay for the repairs out of pocket - unless the so called “extended warranty” will help you out .. I would continue to pursue that resolve. Again - Good Luck!
