Engine low oil pressure light on and off

Typically the result of low oil pressure at idle rpm - - however actual pressures should be TESTED using a mechanical test gauge. It is a possibility the oil pressure switch (sending unit) is the culprit but it’s not likely - testing is the only way to determine. Good luck!
